The Institute for GOD chosen to be featured on “The College Tour” TV show

For Immediate Release: The Institute for GOD (Global Outreach Developments, International) has been chosen to be featured on The College Tour on Amazon Prime.

The Institute for GOD, Nashville’s premiere missions college & Bible school, was recently chosen to be featured on the Amazon Prime TV show The College Tour for its tenth season. The Institute will be the first Bible college, the first Nashville-based school, the first ABHE school, and only the second Tennessee college to have an episode on the show after Carson Newman appeared in the 3rd season.

Producer Beth Cohen approached President Gregg Garner and Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Laurie Kagay to gauge their interest in participating in the show. Cohen asked Garner what was next for The Institute that she couldn't read on their website. Garner shared about The Institute's new Professional Development (ProDev) program, which connects students with Christian business opportunities, exposing them to sectors of service that benefit Nashville (The Institute's home) and the five third-world regions where GOD International serves. ProDev is The Institute's innovative way to help its students graduate debt-free, a conviction Garner has had since starting the school in 2004. Since then, one hundred percent of Institute alumni have graduated without college debt, and The Institute plans to keep it that way. Even more, ProDev guarantees a job offer with a career track for upward mobility to students after graduation, another 100% statistic the college is proud of.

The College Tour is currently filming for its ninth and tenth seasons. The first seven are already available on Amazon Prime. Check it out!

Alex Boylan, the host of The College Tour, says he's excited to feature The Institute for GOD. Their team has been impressed by The Institute's holistic, integrated approach to helping students find their role in helping a world in need. Thanks to The College Tour, Institute for GOD will now get to share its story with the biggest audience it has ever had. The Institute only began marketing its college when Kagay accepted the role right before the COVID-19 pandemic. Garner and Kagay are thrilled to watch The College Tour team tell the Institute's unique story.

The College Tour, now finishing its ninth and filming its tenth season, was created by Alex Boylan, Lisa Hennessy, and Burton Roberts, a team of successful entrepreneurs in TV, social media, and technology. The trio is known for pursuing their passion for adventure and their love of storytelling.

The College Tour features student stories of how they found a place at their institution. You can likely expect to see some of these lovely faces on the episode!

Each episode of The College Tour tells the story of life on college campuses nationwide and worldwide. From academics, housing, campus life, location, and more, in the innovative and informative series, each story is told by real students, professors, and alums. You can view featured colleges on Amazon Prime or The College Tour website: www.thecollegetour.com.

"The idea for The College Tour TV series came to me from my 16-year-old niece. Because of the pandemic and finances, she couldn't travel to tour colleges," said Alex Boylan. "So, using our skills as executive producers, we created a series inspired by her and millions of other young people interested in attending college. This series is so fun to produce!"

The Institute for GOD is among the smallest colleges featured by The College Tour. Our focus on Bible and Missions will be a feature of the episode, helping a broader audience understand our story.

The Institute for GOD is undergoing pre-production meetings with The College Tour team. It plans to host a production team on campus in June. The college is currently casting for the episode, looking for students whose stories will showcase the heartbeat and mission of the college.

Pre-production meetings are already underway for the episode featuring The Institute for GOD. Filming will take place this summer, with the episode to be released in the Fall of 2023, and with the release of The College Tour season 10 on Amazon Prime.
