Public Update regarding Gregg Garner’s Resignation, October 11, 2025

Gregg Garner has tendered his resignation from his position as President of the Institute for Global Outreach Developments (“The Institute for GOD”), effective immediately.

The resignation followed the unanimous decision of the Institute’s Board of Directors on Sunday, October 5, 2025, to suspend Mr. Garner after our faculty received credible allegations of moral failure unrelated to his duties at the Institute.  The Board of Directors has accepted Mr. Garner’s resignation.

We are grateful to announce Jeff Sherrod as the Interim President of The Institute. Mr. Sherrod’s integrity is highly trusted by faculty, staff, and students, and he is well acquainted with the everyday matters of the Institute.

We recognize that changes in leadership can raise questions and concerns. Please know that our focus remains on caring for students and providing them with a high-quality Biblical education.

If you have questions on this matter, you can reach out to our VP of Enrollment, Marketing & Communications, Laurie Kagay, at lkagay@instituteforgod.edu. However, please understand given the nature of the allegations and to respect the privacy of the people involved, we cannot disclose specific information regarding Mr. Garner’s resignation at this time. Although Mr. Garner has resigned, the Board of Directors will continue to investigate the allegations and will keep you updated on the process as more information becomes available.

We request your prayers during this transition period, as we seek to move forward with faith, wisdom, and integrity. Also, please continue to pray for Mr. Garner and his family during this extremely difficult time.

Committed,
Adam Loeffler
Chairman of the Board
