At The Institute, we believe students should graduate prepared for life and ministry—not burdened by unnecessary debt.

Every applicant is automatically considered for institutional scholarships, and many students qualify for multiple awards.

Our scholarship model is built around academic achievement, Christian character, ministry involvement, financial need, and meaningful workplace experience

Our Largest Scholarship

Professional Development Scholarship - worth $12,000-13,000 per year

This is our largest institutional scholarship and the cornerstone of our affordability model.

Students participating in our Professional Development (ProDev) Program gain meaningful workplace experience with Christian organizations and businesses while receiving a substantial tuition scholarship. Participants also earn hourly wages during their work experience.

Students may participate in:

  • Standard ProDev (matching our academic calendar) — approximately $12,000

  • Extended ProDev (matching a K-12 academic calendar for related placements) — approximately $13,000

In addition to reducing tuition, students graduate with professional references, documented experience, and practical workplace skills.

Additional Scholarship Possibilities

  • President's Award

    $1,500 per year, renewable annually

    Awarded annually to students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher with a full-time academic load.

  • Dean's Award

    $1,000 per year, renewable annually

    Awarded annually to students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher with a full-time academic load.

  • Servant Leadership

    $1,500 for incoming freshmen

    Recognizes students who demonstrate consistent leadership and service through their church, school, community, athletics, missions, or other ministry involvement.

  • Academy Alumni Scholarship

    $1,500 per year

    Available to graduates of The Academy for God who attended for at least four consecutive years.

  • SLAM Alumni Scholarship

    $500 for incoming freshmen

    Available to students who participated in a Students Living A Mission (SLAM) service week, not to be combined with Academy Alumni scholarship.

  • Phoenix Scholarship

    Up to $2,500 per year

    The Phoenix has long represented resurrection and new beginnings.

    This scholarship recognizes students who have experienced significant hardship yet continue to pursue Christ with faith and perseverance.

    Applicants submit a personal essay describing how God has used a difficult season of life to shape their character and calling.

    Awards vary each year according to need and available resources.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be considered for scholarships:

  1. Apply for admission

  2. Complete any required scholarship applications (Servant Leadership, ProDev, Phoenix)

  3. Complete the Financial Assessment (Phoenix scholarship only).

Every applicant is automatically considered for institutional scholarships.
