A Prayer for Something New

Person meditating on the goodness of God and praying.

Do Something New

In life, we often feel like we’re stuck in the past. It can feel as if we can’t move on from who we used to be. Israel felt the same way. God’s communication to his people is always one that brings new hope, new life, and redemption from the past. God is a God of history, but he is also a living God, one who is ready to move forward. He is always moving in a new direction, and it is up to us to follow him there.

Perceive what God is doing with you, consider how it can manifest in your life. God is moving ahead in his good purpose, and he wants you to join him there.

Isaiah 43:18-19

19 Do not remember the former things,

or consider the things of old.

18 I am about to do a new thing;

now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

I will make a way in the wilderness

and rivers in the desert.
